family pics ootd

When we went back to Texas over Thanksgiving, I had my wonderful sis-in-law snap some pics of our little family and my kiddos. It was short, quick, and all that my kids (and husband) could handle.

outfits:

beckam: pants | shoes | shirt         brock: pants | shoes | shirt

rem: dress | bow              me: dress | shoes         hadley: dress | boots

Come to find out- Beck’s moodiness was due to a double ear infection- but hey, he was awesome for the first 10minutes and that’s all my sis-in-law needed to snap some good ones!

My sweet Hadley was killing me with her toothless smile! I love it and hate it all at the same time- love it because she is so stinking cute, and hate it because it means she is growing up! She lost both of them within 3 days!

And Rem – well, she was just too cold (and young) to be cooperative, so we didn’t try. I did however snap the one of her by herself about a week later, inside in the nice warm house- for the Christmas card 🙂

Moral of the family picture story- same holds true every year. You stress about it. You want it to go perfectly- but it won’t. It never does (when your kids are little like this) So, just accept the chaos and realize there will always be at least one that works or that turns out that you didn’t think would- and you’ll look back and be so glad you took them!

hi there!

We are so beyond thrilled to see so many new followers over the last couple of months and we wanted to take a moment to say HELLO and tell you a little about us!

We are sisters, a decade apart, with varying styles and interests, but we share a passion for clothes and fashion. We handpick every item in our store, and we only sell pieces that we really truly love and wear ourselves – like all. the. time.

Hi there! I’m Ash, 38 years young and currently living in San Francisco.  I’m a city gal for sure, and love being able to walk from my house to multiple cafes, boutiques, museums, and even the beach! By day, I’m an attorney for a big tech company, as well as a wife and new mom (baby Denton is 8 months old today!), and pretty much can’t help but stay busy. I started the Juniper Lemons blog as a creative outlet, and then roped in my sis to help it grow. My style tends to be feminine and tailored. I love pieces that can transition between the office and a night out, and I have a HUGE weakness for anything with ruffles, stars, and sparkles!!!

Hi! So, I am 28 and live outside of Salt Lake City, up in the mountains, where I am a mom to my three ‘littles’ *ages (almost) 6, 3, and 12wks*, wife, and a lover of all things fitness, fashion, and food. I love to be in nature, running around on the trails- preferably getting lost. I’m a Boston qualifier, but missed the cutoff by less than a minute this year, so now that I’ve been released to run again post baby- I am on a mission to qualify and by much more than before! I am 90% plant based as far as my eating and I am a believer in the health benefits of it. I tend to spend my money more on shoes and go frugal on the rest of my wardrobe 😉 My style tends to be more on the bohemian, casual side, and dark colors (I love a good ripped jean with a black tee!)- but if it’s time to dress up- give me all the feathers, sequins, and sparkles!

We are continually inspired by the support we receive from our friends, fans, and customers. Please reach out to us at contact@juniperlemons.com with your questions and comments, and follow @juniperlemons on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.  That would make us so super happy!

Stash & Grab gifts.

If you don’t know what a ‘stash & grab gift’ is then I am about to rock your world! My mom taught my sister and I from an early age about doing this. You are busy right now- you are running around all over the place trying to get the perfect presents for everyone, bake the best cookies, and attend all the various programs and events that your kids and work have put on your calendar. So when the doorbell rings and it’s your neighbor Susie who has brought you a thoughtful gift you turn bright red and feel awful you forgot to grab her something—not any more!

Also have a bunch of ‘stash & grab’ gifts – wrapped, labeled with whats in them, and put in the closet or under the tree for those unexpected gift givers who pop up! You just go grab one, pull off the label and hand it over like you are the most on top of it woman on the block!

So…here are some of my picks for this years stash & grab gifts under $50, for adults:

Stance Socks | Best Smelling Candles | House Shoes | Beanies | Mugs with Hot Cocoa | Throw Blanket | Year Planners | Portable Keychain Phone Charger | Necklaces

Ash’s obsessions

3v3 coats

Because it is getting cold outside!

wool wrap coat – Can you believe this is H&M?!?!  I know, right?!! They’re currently sold out in my size, but I’m gonna be stalking it.

faux fur coat – H&M FTW again!! I already own a leopard faux fur, or I’d be snatching this one up.  A coat like this instantly brings to life a pair of jeans and a tee.  Love.

north face coat –  These puffer coats are perfect for travel.  They squish down to nothing, are super light weight, and don’t wrinkle.

Aj’s obsessions

Madewell Jacket. Love shearling for the winter. This jacket is the perfect throw on with jeans.

Green Midi Dress. Y’all know my love for anything drop waist- and the color emerald green- so, clearly I love this dress. Plus… it’s under $50!!

Asos Ruffle Sweater. Another cute sweater with cute detailing! Also love that the open part of the sleeve is lower on the arm versus being on the shoulder.

skin foundation stick– I recently picked up some of this to try… My skin has been super dry and red lately, so I wanted to switch to something moisturizing with slightly more coverage.  I’ve only used it once thus far, but I like it!

ruffle pullover – super obsessed with all things ruffled lately.  I like this cute take on a classic black sweater.

cutaway bootie – so cute and sweet!  The perforated detail and cutaway style make these booties super femme.  They come in black, brown, green, grey, and pink.

Aj’s obsessions

Vila Wide Leg Velvet pants. These are AMAZING for the holidays! Velvet is always a good idea- especially in a dark emerald green- and I’m all about some fancy pants to a party instead of the traditional party dress!

Lace Up Sweater. Super cute detailing on this sweater! Plus, it’s only $50!

Bow Heels. I mean- are these not the cutest!? Plus, I could stand all night long at a party in this heel height! Oh, and they are only $64.
