Anthropologie Pommed Lodge Beanie. You saw Aj wear it in our Anthro 40% off sale post, and it sold out quickly! Now its back, and on sale again. So, I snagged one myself.

Catherine Skirt. As you have seen here, I am loving velvet right now. This skirt is no exception. The great navy color with black velvet floral and dramatic high low detail is perfect for the holidays.

Ted Baker Dress. I have been obsessed with this dress for awhile. Now, it is on sale! The gold, neat print, cap sleeve, and cute shape make it a win in my book.

Scallop Edge Lace Top. Everyone needs a gorgeous lace top. Dress it up or down- it completes the outfit – no need to hunt around for jewelry or something to add! Did I mention it is under $80!? It comes in white and black.

gift guide. for the new mom.

1. MZ Wallace Tote. This may not be a diaper bag but it has room for everything! Plus, it looks cute and can be used with our without baby

2. Solly Baby Wrap. This is the exact one that I used with my last little. It was a game changer for me. So comfortable and he loved it.

3. Helen Ficalora Necklace. These are the sweetest. I have received a new letter charm, in gold, from my husband in the hospital after each of our babies. They are a special keepsake for me that I love and wear almost daily.

4. Pj’s. Who doesn’t love some new comfy pjs!? Especially a new mom.

5. Jcrew House Shoes. New mom or not, everyone needs a pair of these. They are so comfortable.

6. Long Robe. For those late nights, and let’s be honest- just those days you don’t want to do anything but snuggle your baby- throw on this long, cozy robe and call it a day!

7. Quinny Stroller. Who says a stroller can’t be cute and functional? This one is amazing. Wish it had been around when I originally bought one!

8. Halo Sleep Sacks. These are the best. No fear of your little one getting caught up in their blanket or coming un-swaddled. I used these with both of my kids. I love them.

9. mamaRoo. I had this for my last baby and he loved it- as did I. It stayed in our living room and was the perfect place for him to catch a snooze where I could see him.

10. Bassinet. How gorgeous is this one!?

11. LWPH Crib Sheets & Quilts. I know this sweet chic and her work is amazing! I designed my son’s entire room off of one of her crib sheets I fell in love with. I dare you to not buy several things from her shop when you visit it- such fun prints and colors.

Sorel Major Moto Boots.  Warm and sturdy boots for travel.  I’ll be in Czech over the holidays and I need some boots that can handle rain, sleet, snow, mud, and cobblestone streets.  I’m thinking these may be the ones!  Oh, and they’re 30% off right now at anthro!

GLAMGLOW GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturizer.  Wandering around Sephora recently a sales gal showed me this gem.  She gave me a sample to take home and I was hooked.  I ordered some the following week.  It is super moisturizing and gives the perfect amount of glow to brighten the complexion during these colder months.

Colette D’Orsay Pumps in Leopard Calf Hair.  The cut of these shoes is amazing, and the heel height is perfect for longer wear — like when you actually have to walk farther than from the cab to your table.  And if you hurry, they’re on 30% off right now!

‘Andra’ Crystal Choker.  I wore a necklace very similar to this to my husband’s company Christmas Party last weekend and received tons of compliments on it. I honestly like this one better!

Needle & Thread Sequin Floral Blouse.  How amazing is the detailing on this top!? The girly floral print and in sequins is perfect! You could wear this all holiday season and then right into spring! I’m obsessed.

1. Jellycat Stuffed Animals. My daughter was given this bunny from her Nana and has slept with it every night since almost birth. When my son came along and tried to steal the beloved ‘bunbun’ from her, he got his own monkey. Safe to say it hasn’t left his side since the day he got it.

2. Code a Pillar. My husband is obsessed with anything to do with coding. He thinks it is super important for our kids to at least understand it. This is such a fun new concept and way to teach kids and they won’t even know!

3. Super Hero Action Figures. I LOVE all the female super heros that are out this year! So does my daughter. She spotted these at Target from a mile away.

4. Vtech Watch. With all the adults around getting high-tech watches, of course kids are asking for the same! I don’t know about you, but mine won’t be getting any Apple watch any time soon- so, instead, get them this fun kid’s version!

5. Root Viewer. We love gardening at our house and it has made our kids love their vegetables because they get excited about planting, watching them grow, and then cooking them! This is a neat way to show them what is going on under the ground.

6. SelfieMic. A microphone and selfie stick!? Need I say more?

7. Super Hero Robes. With all the super hero buzz going around, these super hero robes are sure to be a big hit- especially at our house!

8. Go Kart. Every kid wants a go-kart at some point, and I can see why after checking out this fun one!

9. Adidias Superstars. My kids love to match me, and I like giving some ‘practical’ gifts for Christmas- so why not some cute shoes like these.

10. Peek Shirts. I am obsessed with Peek. They have the cutest kid’s clothes.

11. Xbox One. Have you met an older kid who doesn’t want an Xbox?!

12. Soccer Goals. Grab two of these and you will have endless fun in your backyard!

13. Strider Balance Bike. These are a great way to teach a kid how to ride a bike without training wheels- and they won’t even know they are learning!

holiday shoes under $100 & splurge

Hi, our names are Aj & Ashley and we have a problem:

Shoes.

We love shoes.

I’ve rounded up some of our holiday time favorites- in two batches.

The first, a round up of shoes that Ash and I own. Between us both we own most all of these shoes, some in multiples- and there’s a reason. They are our favorites. Yes, they are expensive- but, I will say I used to be the gal that had 7 pairs of “black pumps”, none of which I really liked, they didn’t last, and they were all incredibly uncomfortable. Now, if I had instead invested in one pair of quality black pumps- I would have spent the same amount, they last longer, they are more comfortable, and let’s be honest- I just like them better! So, that is my strategy now.
