Tubby Todd

Since we moved to Utah, I don’t know what it is but my kids’ skin has been acting up. Rashes on their faces, backs, dry skin- you name it. So, several sweet family members of mine recommended trying Tubby Todd products. Now, my kids love a good bubble bath- and I love a product that is all natural, so we had to try it!

It’s safe to say- I’m sold. Their skin is looking better and their time in the bubble bath is a hit! I love not having to worry about them breaking out in some weird fragrance/weird product chemical after spending WAY too much time in the bath.

Read more about their ingredients, here. You will be impressed. Plus- you can try their products worry-free! Read more about that, here.

Friday the 13th

Ahhhh! It’s Friday the 13th!!!  I started to research why there’s such a freak out over the day, but after skimming through a few articles (here’s one, and another) I decided I really don’t care.  I decided I’d much rather share with you some last minute Halloween costume ideas for those of you that have procrastinated and need to order one NOW 😉

baby narwhal  |  baby unicorn  |   dragon

FYI – I would totally put a blonde wig on the toddler in the dragon outfit for a pint-sized Daenerys Targaryen

AMIRIGHT?!
And I haven’t even seen Game of Thrones (yet).

Rey

Rey
On a recent flight, I watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens… and I was kinda disappointed.  BUT, Rey is a total badass!  I’m hoping she gets her own series.

wonderwoman

Wonder Woman
I’ve wanted to be Wonder Woman since Linda Carter.

gorilla

Gorilla Rider
Now this is PERFECT for any guy or gal that has dreamed of getting a piggy-back ride from a gorilla.  Also perfect for anyone wanting a notable costume for $40.

suit2

Halloween Suit
I really love this option for those guys that are too shy to fully dress up for a Halloween party (particularly those office parties).  And if the full suit is still too much, try pairing the pants with a black sweater, or the blazer with jeans.

candy

Candy Shirt
And if all else fails… at least get a festive tee.  (Only $13!)

3v3

Ash’s obsessions

suede booty.  Comfy heel and neutral suede to go with pretty much everything this fall!

big tote.  Simple and timeless.  This tote is the perfect size for weekend trips, shopping expeditions, toting diaper bag stuffs plus your own essentials, etc.  This is a practical bag that you’ll keep forever.

suede jacket.  I love this jacket!  I have it in green and the cut and weight is simply perfect for throwing on over a graphic tee.

Aj’s obsessions

Sorel Tofino boot. I didn’t buy these last year- but considering this will be my first full winter here in Utah- I think I need them.

Levi’s Sherpa Trucker Jacket. This is a fun jacket to transition into winter. I love anything with sherpa.

Checkered Button-down shirt. Love the shape of this blouse. I don’t like stiff button down shirts- and this one is just the opposite. Plus, under $60.

Healthy Frosty

This has been my go-to of how to satisfy my lingering pregnancy sweet tooth, without giving in to all the treats my kiddos seem to have around the house lately! Operation lose the baby weight is in full effect.

It is delicious. Enjoy!

Healthy Frosty

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 -1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1-1.5 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (or to taste)
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • Ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Put it all in a blender and blend! Then, enjoy- guilt free!

reflecting on the biz

img_9651One year ago today, Juniper Lemons did its very first photoshoot.  For the shoot, I flew to Texas to meet up with my sister Aj and our mom Carol.  I was about 13 weeks pregnant with baby Denton, and my sister had 2 kids in tow.  We had no idea what we were doing, and if I’m being honest, we still don’t much of the time.  But we’re constantly learning, making new friends in the industry, and challenging ourselves.

Processed with VSCO with s3 preset

Since that first photoshoot we’ve built a website, launched the Juniper Lemons boutique, popped our first Pop-Up Shop (with Shabby Apple!!), navigated state and federal business requirements and tax muck (ughhh…  yuck.), shopped markets, met with vendors, and so so soooo much more!

Some days it’s felt more like ‘work’ than I’d like, but overall I’m glad I started this adventure and I can’t wait to see where the next year takes us!

Stay tuned for new product launches coming soon!  We’ve got a photoshoot scheduled for November 4th — so be sure to follow our insta stories for some behind the scenes shots!  And we’ll be rolling out new items on the shop website soon after!

Sincerest thanks to all of you who read our blog, follow us on insta/facebook/twitter, and shop our store.  Your support means the world to us.

links I’m loving

I’m finding that all the links I’m loving are more loose fitting, shift type dresses and tops!

  1. This top and this one are perfect for my post-baby pooch. Not to mention easy on the csection incision.
  2. Love the arm detailing on this pretty long sleeve top. Also, who doesn’t love cashmere !?
  3. Don’t know where I would wear this dress right now… but I’m going to find a place!
  4. This is a fun dress! Probably not going to be wearing it any time soon- but I sure like it.
  5. I might need to dress up my sweatpants a bit since they are all I seem to be wearing lately- these seem to fit the bill. Nothing like some silk to take something from slouchy to nice!
