workout motivation ootd

Pants | Top | Shoes | Watch | Sunglasses
Nothing gets me more motivated to work out than some new workout gear! It’s the middle of March- and the first day of SPRING- so you may still be going strong with your new year’s resolution or you may be starting to lose some ‘oomph’. Well, my advice, tell yourself, “if I do all my work outs this week- I can treat myself to a new outfit!” Or, buy it before and then tell yourself you can only wear it if you go do your workout! Works for me, every time 🙂

What I love about this ootd the most, are these pants! They are the best for mainly one reason- they have a pocket on the leg, on each side! Perfect for your keys, phone, and/or some cash/card. I wore these to the zoo the other day and they were a lifesaver! I always had my money and phone within easy reach without having to dig into the stroller in my backpack for them. The top- have you seen cuter detailing?

protein fudge

I found this recipe from Lisa at Lunchpails and Lipstick  and it is just too good not to share. I make one small change in the protein powder, but that’s it. It is a staple in my fridge…for the short amount of time it lasts before I eat it all! It is so easy. No chopping, food processing, nothing. Just throw it all together.

Ingredients

  • 1 16oz Jar Natural Creamy Peanut Butter (read your labels people! It should just be peanuts!)
  • 1 1/4 cup Natural, Raw Honey
  • 2 scoops Plant Based Chocolate Protein Powder (I use this one)
  • 3 cups Oats

Directions

  • Heat Peanut butter in the microwave for 90 seconds. Stir in honey. Mix in protein powder.
  • Combine oats with peanut butter mixture
  • Spread evenly in a 9×13″ pan and refrigerate for at least an hour, or freeze.
  • Cut into squares. Enjoy!

I promise these won’t last long! They are one of my favorites- and my kiddos!img_2705

New Balance for J. Crew Sneakers.  They’re PINK!! These super cuties are perfect for a chic travel outfit or a trip to the gym.

YUMI KIM Giselle Maxi Dress. The long sleeves and skirt make it warm enough for early spring, while the deep V and flowy fabric keep it flirty.  If I wasn’t 7 months pregnant, this dress would be in my closet right now.

Cashmere Heart Intarsia Sweater.  Cashmere for under $100 and just in time for Valentine’s Day!  LOVE!

Jonathan Simkhai One Piece. Yes, it is pricey – but it is gorgeous! I love a classy one piece that has style but also is classy. This will work for any pool or beach occasion! I’m also working on a post for my favorite suits {in all price points} for this season!

Long sleeve Window Pane Dress. Target for the win! When do they not?! I love white dresses and this one with pockets is too cute.

ootd – heather sweater

This sweater has quickly become one of my favorites of ours. First, the obvious, it is SO soft. Every time I wear it, my kiddos instantly want to snuggle more. I’ll take it! Then, the fit is perfect. It is loose enough to hide anything you might want to, but fitted enough to still show a cute shape. Not to mention, the cute details like the sleeves and the slit in the back. I wear it with jeans, leather pants, over dresses, and with skirts. Also, it’s only $60!

zebra corn

Today I’m going to share a party favorite with you! We make this every Super Bowl – and it I always end up wishing I made more. First rule- always double this recipe. It is delicious! Enjoy!

Zebra Corn

ingredients

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 10 cups plain unsalted popcorn – takes about 1/2 cup of kernels
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • semi sweet chocolate chips
  • white chocolate chips

directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. Take a large rimmed baking sheet, butter it, and set aside. Pop your popcorn and place on the baking sheet.
  2. In a saucepan or pot, bring the butter, brown sugar, and 2 tbsp of water to a boil while stirring constantly.
  3. Drizzle this syrup over the popcorn and toss to coat every piece! Spread evenly on the baking sheet. (try not to eat it all right now..this is where I struggle)
  4. Bake, tossing occasionally, until golden and shiny. Do not overcook! I usually pull it out after about 30minutes. Let it cool on buttered foil or parchment paper.
  5. Once cooled, melt the chocolate and drizzle it over the popcorn! (A little tip- once melted, put the chocolate in a ziploc baggie and cut off a little bit from the corner- makes for an easy way to drizzle and an easy clean up! Just throw the baggie in the trash!)
  6. Allow to cool until the chocolate has hardened and then store in an airtight container- if it even lasts that long!
