Ash’s obsessions

Endless Rose blouse.  Feminine and flirty.  How I wish I could fit into this right now.

BareMinerals Bareskin.  I have 2 different concealers in my makeup arsenal these days, and this is one of them.  It’s perfect for a lighter coverage, particularly under eyes and around the nose.

Starla flats.  In love with the little stars and metallic leather.  Yasss!!!

Aj’s obsessions

See by Chloe Espadrilles. I’m loving these for spring. I’m craving all things sun, sand, and beach related- and these take me right to that positive space!

Free People top. I love Free People. They will forever be one of my favorites. This top is perfect in so many ways- especially the I’m about to eat way too much at dinner and don’t want to suck it in look 😉

Carrie Tie-waist Dress. Love this flirty, fun colored dress! Perfect for spring!

workout motivation ootd

Pants | Top | Shoes | Watch | Sunglasses
Nothing gets me more motivated to work out than some new workout gear! It’s the middle of March- and the first day of SPRING- so you may still be going strong with your new year’s resolution or you may be starting to lose some ‘oomph’. Well, my advice, tell yourself, “if I do all my work outs this week- I can treat myself to a new outfit!” Or, buy it before and then tell yourself you can only wear it if you go do your workout! Works for me, every time 🙂

What I love about this ootd the most, are these pants! They are the best for mainly one reason- they have a pocket on the leg, on each side! Perfect for your keys, phone, and/or some cash/card. I wore these to the zoo the other day and they were a lifesaver! I always had my money and phone within easy reach without having to dig into the stroller in my backpack for them. The top- have you seen cuter detailing?

bump style: non-maternity clothes

Dressing an ever-expanding belly continues to be a challenge, and I like to buy non-maternity pieces in hopes I’ll still wear them after baby arrives.  So here’s what I’m finding works…

maxi dresses

Free People printed maxi (on sale now!!) |  Billabong Allegra dress  |  Ghost ‘Madrid’ maxi dress

Maxi dresses are great for pregnancy.  These maxis are particularly awesome IMO because they’re NOT MATERNITY dresses!  So you can keep wearing them after your little bundle of joy arrives.

flowy blouses

Wildflower Fields tunic (on sale now!!) |  Floral print tunic (on sale now!!)

Also in the non-maternity maternity wear category are flowy blouses.  Free People has been a fave brand of mine for these, and you can often find some good ones on the sale rack!

blazers

blazer (old, similar here and here)  |  flounce midi dress (only $59!)
ps.  the sandals are coming soon to the Juniper Lemons boutique– stay tuned!

blazer

blazer (old, similar here and here)  |  floral and stripe top

And for a more polished look, throw a blazer on over a tee, blouse, or dress.  Blazers help add structure to an otherwise more casual look.  And from some angles you almost can’t tell I’m 35 weeks pregs 😉  #yahright

glossier product review

glossier

If you’ve been on social media lately, you’ve likely seen an ad or two (or more) for Glossier.  I have zero willpower so I was tempted into ordering several of the products.  After trying them out for a week plus, here are the 3 that won me over –

Haloscope highlighter.  It comes in 3 shades, but the ‘Quartz’ is my fave.  It has a moisturizing balm to keep it from getting cakey, and it gives a fabulous dewy glow.

Rose balm.  The balm also comes in multiple flavors, but the ‘Rose’ reminds me so much of Smith’s Rosebud Salve (which I also love) AND the packaging is more user friendly IMO. I have a feeling the Glossier Rose Balm will be a staple in my bag from now on.

Rosewater mist.  If you haven’t tried misting your made-up face yet, do it.  It’s a great way to refresh and rehydrate your skin and makeup, and it helps to create that dewy glow from a dry and cakey mess.  I love this Rosewater mist because of the light floral smell and the fine mist.  I’ve had several face mists in the past that I’ve had to pitch because the spray came out in spitty drops instead of a fine mist.  This Glossier Rosewater Mist is a keeper!

Ash’s obsessions

Not sure if it’s the current festival season vibe coming through, or the fact that I’m 8 months pregs and loving everything loose, flowy, and easy to slip on — but I am feeling a boho chic vibe this week.

Free People maxi dress.  Great dress to slip into whether you’re pregs or not!  It’s got a simple black slip underlay, but can be paired with leggings if you are nervous about the side slit.

Free People shift dress.  Wear it as a dress or a tunic, the florals on this are perfect for spring.

Birkenstock ‘Boston’.  Also available here.  I haven’t owned a pair of Birks since college, but I’m desperate for some wide comfy clogs that I can slip on and go.  I love what the Birkenstock marketing folks did pairing the Boston clog with a sleek all black ensemble topped with a city chic camel coat.  I applaud the effort to spread beyond the brand’s nature loving tree hugger reputation.

Aj’s obsessions

Anthro Lace Top. I’m loving the lace on this! It’s heavier than normal, which I like. Plus, the detail on the sleeves and edges is so pretty!

Rolling Stones 94 Tee. I love a good t shirt. I have more than I can count and I keep adding to the collection. Make it a vintage band tee and I’m doubly sold.

Religion Frill Maxi Dress.  Love the ruffling added to this dress- Plus, it’s a floral but the colors make it less in your face than a lot I’ve seen lately. Love.
