July is officially here! And so is the start of my birthday month! YAY! My birthday isn’t until July 30th, so that gives me nearly a full month to celebrate 🙂
It was during my birthday month in 2016 that I decided to gift myself Juniper Lemons. As an attorney, I’ve helped many clients set up businesses. I dreamed of starting my own, and for my 37th bday I made it happen.
On July 18, 2016, I filed the paperwork for Juniper Lemons LLC and the rest has been a constant learning experience! The learning bit can be challenging at times, but overall it’s the best bday present I’ve given myself to date.
This year I’ll be turning 39. I don’t yet know what I’ll be gifting myself, but with baby #2 on the way, it’s already shaping up to be another big year.

Traditionally the 4th has been one of my favorite holidays. I grew up in Texas and spent loads of time bouncing around the midwest before landing in San Francisco. Independence Day brings up memories of hanging by a pool or lake, grilling sausages, drinking margaritas, and soaking in the sun. It’s pretty much the perfect day topped off with fireworks!
San Francisco weather doesn’t always cooperate for soaking in the sun, but a half hour drive in most any direction will increase the temps to something approaching summer. [Here we come Sonoma and Napa! ;)]
