spring suede shoe obsessions

suede shoes

Soft suede just oozes elegance and femininity- unless its heavily fringed or studded and then it may take on more of a hippy or native american vibe.  Suede was a prominent trend in the 2015 spring/summer shows, and I would love to see it keep going and going… particularly with shoes!

My current spring suede shoe obsessions (left to right, top to bottom)-

Steve Madden “Kitty” Ghillie Sandal – $89 at Nordstrom.  I actually just bought these this past weekend.  The laces are on trend, and the low block heel give a little lift while staying casual and comfy.  I’m heading to Napa for a girlie weekend this Friday and these are definitely coming with!

Klub Nico “Tarina” Gladiator Sandal – $199 at Nordstrom.  With a little bit more of a heel, petite studs, and laser cutouts, this is maybe the girliest ‘gladiator’ sandal ever.  It’s a great neutral color and pairs just as great with dresses as it does with jeans.  These heels are also sold at Anthropologie for $240 (see Jordana Heels).

Manolo Blahnik BB 105 Suede Point-Toe Pumps in Cobalt – $595 at Saks.  I heart these shoes so much.  I’ve lusted after them for more than a year now.  I’ve even talked friends into buying them.  What’s so great about them?  The color.  Go see them in person.  The color is simply amazing.  I think I may need to add these blue suede shoes to my closet this season 😉

Stuart Weitzman Nudistsong – $398 at Stuart Weitzman.  A simple, clean, classic, and sexxxy sandal.  The cut on these is just perfect.  The heel is a bold straight line to elongate your leg, and the toe strap is slightly angled to display those perfectly pedicured toes.  The Nudistsong is the wearable version of the super hot Nudist sandal.  If you want a super sexy sandal for sitting, get the Nudist.  If you want to be able to walk and dance and strut around, go for the Nudistsong.

Happy shopping!

the caged heel

caged heel

The caged heel is THE current “it” shoe, and with its striking design it’s easy to see why!  There are tons of brand, color, and cost options for this style making it super hard to pick just one.  In fact, I love this trend so much I’ve already snatched up a couple pairs… and may even pick up a third.

caged heel - mossimo

Mossimo ‘Kylea’ Mossimo ‘Kylea’ – $35 at Target in black and taupe  .  Love the trend but don’t want to spend top dollar?  These are the way to go!  No they’re not real suede, and yes the sole is rubber– but for $35 they’re spot on trend and on budget!

caged heel - steve madden

Steve Madden ‘Slithur’ – $109 (on sale for $98!) at Macy’s.  If a range of colors is what you’re after, Steve Madden has you covered.  Leather upper with manmade sole, but who’s looking at the bottoms anyway?

caged heel - vince camuto

Vince Camuto ‘Kristana’ – $119 at Nordstrom in black and turquoise.  Additional colors (nude and pink) available at Vince Camuto (also on sale!)  A slightly different design, bit sexier heel, leather upper, and synthetic sole.

caged heel - schutz

Schutz ‘Juliana’ – $190 (on sale for $133!) at Saks in black, natural, and sporty pink .  The creme de la creme of lot.  A still sexier heel with suede upper and leather sole.

Which ones are your perfect match?

easter dress

Happy Spring!  It’s raining here in SF, and I’m still a bit under the weather myself– so to lift my spirits I’m shopping online for a girlie Easter dress from the comfort of my bed.  Since Anthropologie is having a 20% off sale this weekend, I started my search at anthropologie.com.  And there are sooo many great options!  I thought I’d share my top picks–

work wear

Happy Monday!  I couldn’t wait to wear this great dress that I picked up over the weekend.  A versatile and budget-friendly dress that can take you from the office to date night with ease.  And it’s currently on sale at Target via a “buy 1 get one 50% off clothing, shoes, and accessories” promotion – seriously unbelievable deal!!!  The Who What Wear line has some mix-and-match pieces that are great for the work week.

As you may have noticed from my posts, I’m a big fan of investing in statement shoes that I often pair with bargain clothing finds.  For me, shoes get more use than most clothes, they can be repeated more often (wear the same shoes 3x in one week to work, no prob; same dress… LOL), and they fit no matter what the current weight fluctuation.  And, in my opinion, designer shoes can elevate most any outfit and make you feel oh so sexxxxy!

Sleeveless fluted shift dress in black/white stripe by Who What Wear at Target for $29 (currently on “buy 1 get one 50% off” promotion!!)

Valentino Rockstud T-Strap pump in Ivory available at Nordstrom $995

seeing green

St. Patrick’s day is a little less than a month away (March 17) and the outfit options abound!  Here are some green bits that I found during my ongoing search for something festive to wear.  In general I find H&M to be a fun place to shop for seasonal items on a budget– just make sure to shop quickly as sizes seem to go fast.  And I pop into Anthropologie on the regular, so not surprisingly some anthro pieces wound up in the round up.  Any idea what you’ll wear?!!
